i get " problem mounting disk" from my k2000 with a scsi external cd rom drive

can anyone help i get the message "problem mounting disk" in my
kurzweil k2000 it does it when trying to load a cd from my external
scsi cd rom drive. what do i do???

You have to give us a little more to go on than that.

Why do you get that message? Because the sky is blue?

What kind of disc are you trying to load. Have you tried any authentic
Kurzweil discs? What kind of drive are you running.

Don't make us guess man!

There are any number of reasons you'd be getting the "problem mounting"
message.

Are you trying to load files from a Windows CD? If so, is your operating
system current? What version do you have? It shows in the screen when you
power up.

What is the format of the CD you are you trying to load from? Is it a
Kurzweil CD or some other format?

Do you know if the drive works? And is it Kurzweil compatible?

Need a little more information.....

Has it previously loaded OK?

Are you using a disk that previously was "known good"?

Did you change any cables or drive positions?

Is it terminated properly?

hard reset the Kurz?

i have a k2000 the version is 3.54, i have a tobisha 12x external cd
drive, the sample cd is not a kurzweil cd its formated on a pc the
sample cd is written in aiff and wav files. i know that kurzweil
k2000 accepts those files. i terminated the external scsi cd drive.
i can load files from my internal disk drive normaly but why not my
external drive??? is this is enough info to know more or less the
problem i got.

3.54 cannot read ISO9660 discs. You need 3.87 to load these.
