[KL] dadat-26 option failed to install!

Hi!
I have installed a new dadat-26 option for my k2600r with sampling option.

When i run the tests i got this answers:

the option on the effect board , a lisa chip, is not detected (run diags).
but the digital i/o card work great within the specified test (test on floppy disk).

If someone could help, i would really appreciate.

Hi. I just bought a DADAT-26 for my K2600X with sampling option
installed. I haven't installed the DADAT-26 yet so I can't answer your
question, sorry. But I will be watching the answers you get :).

What are you using to connect the DADAT-26 to other gear? Are
you connecting the DADAT-26 directly to a PC/Mac?

hi.

I am willing to buy a motu 826 mk3 that have two adats in/out.
you can use an old alesis io26 too.

But for the moment I m trying to figure out if my dadat-26 is working or not.

Within the option package, there is the a test object (on the floppy) disk that can test the digital in and out circuitry.

But for me the master2 window dont show the digital adat option.

I'm in the same boat: trying to install DADAT-26 option into my K2600RS. What jumpers do i have to change on the CPU board and where is the test, what i can run? I don't have any floppy for the DADAT, maybe the test is in the 4.11 update file?

I don't remember changing any jumpers or needing to upgrade my
K2600X firmware. I just installed the hardware into the chassis. But
mine's a keyboard, not a rack unit - maybe that's different.

Hi ben!

Have you installed the 2mm jumper on the cpu board as well? That one is not included in the dadat package.

Hi. Thank you for your reply.
Yes i have installed this jumper on pins 3 and 4.
It's look like the lisa chip or maybe the ribbon cable, between the effect board and the digital board, are not working.
I m still investigating...

I'm trying to install DADAT-26 option into my K2600R, but without success until now. Based on your comment it seems you know how this should be done. May I ask your help?


My OS is updated (4.11), tried to put jumper on JP803 (I assumed this is the one, based on the service manual), but the system is not booting if the jumper is in 1-2 or 3-4 position. Running digital i/o test cause bus error in 1-2 position, and lista not found in 3-4. What do you think?

It was some time since I did this on my K2600XS.
But I installed the card and never made any jumper change.
Then downloaded the file from Kurzweil.

Regarding the In/Out test, I seem to remember that it didn’t work for me either.
The problem was that I had a wrong setting somewhere.
