I just looked, and apparently is doesn't reference that installation. Do you have a keyboard or a rack version? I have a rack that I made by using parts from two salvaged units. I completely disassembled both and built one good one with everything except the KDFX option, which is the dicey one to install. The sampling option is actually quite straightforward, so if you have reasonable DYI skills (no soldering or splicing involved--just attaching the board and snapping on the cables) you can probably figure it out. After it's installed, all you need to do is run the internal diagnostics, which will tell you if the unit 'sees' the sampling board.
If you do have a rack unit, I can pop the top on mine and send you some photos showing the placement, etc...
Check the forum again, too. People do respond here, but none of us are online 24-7. There are some really knowledgeable folks, including a few who actually worked for Kurzweil previously.

You should be able to find a service manual online (search Kurzweil K2500 manuals) pretty easily.. I got mine that way in PDF format, and I just print out the page(s) I need if I'm working on it.
